Representative Lyle Larson To Receive Texas Rainmaker Award

We have exciting news to share with you! This year the Texas Water Foundation would like to honor Representative Lyle Larson with our “Texas Rainmaker Award.”

Representative Lyle Larson has served in the Texas Legislature since 2011 and has from the beginning taken on a strong interest in water issues across the State of Texas. Representative Larson in the only representative in our recent time to travel the state and visit almost all groundwater districts and river authorities.

Representative Larson has taken on numerous challenges to bringing the various entities to the table to work towards common goals for the betterment of Texas. He has taken a particular interest to water technologies, such as aquifer storage and brackish desalination. He has authored numerous big water bills that have pushed the envelope on how the state manages and preserves its water resources.

Representative Larson currently serves as the Chairman of Natural Resources in the House of Representatives. The Texas Water Foundation thanks Representative Larson for his service, commends him for his dedication to the water resources of Texas, and looks forward to celebrating his accomplishments!

In moving forward with this year’s Texas Rainmaker Award ceremony, we would like for everyone to plan to attend the event on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 6:30PM for a reception followed by dinner at 7:30PM at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.
