IMPACT: STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Supporting Collaboration and Trust for Long-term Solutions
No single entity or group can drive the system-level change needed for a water secure future for Texas. Nonprofits, trade associations, state agencies, local governments, private and public water utilities, engineering firms, community groups, and law firms each play a specific and necessary role in the big picture of Texas water. TWF proudly sits at the intersection of these organizations, and works for the acceleration of trust-building and collaboration. Our reputation for neutrality and subject matter expertise, combined with the relationships we have built along the way, allows us to serve as a convener and bridge-builder.
The needs and priorities around water vary tremendously across the state. Between the floods and droughts that drive the crises of the moment, it can be challenging to pull back and look at water security from a broad and long-term perspective that incorporates all the complexities at play. Any meaningful action requires trust and understanding.
None of it happens overnight. With every “State of Texas Water” briefing we deliver, every referral to a water leader in another part of the sector, or bridge built between two entities, a more connected and informed water ecosystem emerges.
